Anyone planning on attending Alabama State w/ reddog?
I'll be there with Pepper and Brian with Cali. It would sure be nice to meet some other redbone folk.

Hey best of luck to both of you and any other redbones that give it a shot. How far is it being held from where you and Brian hunt? I was down in south west Alabama and hunted with Shabel and Gibson for 3 nights last year on some huge deer club lands....hunting seemed pretty good down there but looked rough in the northern part of the state where those hills and mountains are. Won redbone days with my Timber Girl female back in 92' over in Ozark Alabama on the east side.....got into some rough hunting there that weekend...in more ways than one. That was back when breed hunts were Purina points hunts and I drew the top three purina point leaders (walkers and english) both nights hunting grands and the leader was from that club and was guiding both nights.....but Timber Girl put on a clinic that weekend and they just couldn't beat her. She got on a win streak in the spring of that year that ran for 26 or 27 straight cast wins (many in big hunts and pkc hunts)until august of that year.
When you and your dog get in the groove....you got to ride that wave for all it's worth. I hope you and Brian can keep your winning streak going all year

The state hunt is held an hour south of us, almost dead center of the state in Clanton. Should be plenty of water, rolling hills, not bad. I'm going to try and guide a GRNT cast back to my spot. Thanks for the luck, it always helps to catch a break now and then,LOL

it is a 2 nite purina event. There is supposed to be some bad thunderstorms rolling in all weekend. Hope we can tree a few in the rain

Cali won her cast friday night and hi scoring GRNT, had a dead cast in pouring rain and thunder storms sat. night. She placed 3rd at an RQE last week, cw @ WC= 150 purina points... so far
