added a whole dynamic to the walker breed when he came along.
He threw some stud dogs that reproduced stud dogs that reproduced stud dogs. That tells you the impact he had. He was one of a kind.

I have 3 out of 3 different litters of that cross. I made the cross 4 times with mack on the gap female (patches), her mother being out of xjr didn't hurt either. sure wish I would not have waited till mack was almost 12 to breed him.
some nice ones out there outta him and different females.

what were some of the most common traits Sacket Jr put in his pups ? I hunted blueticks for years and just in the last 6 years switched over to walkers.

a few people may agree, but probly more will not.
but,, In my opinion JR reproduced the traits of the females bred to him. that's why you will find them from one end of the board to the other. it really depended on what traits the female had in determining what his pups were.
Gary Hern saw that in JR and bred a Red Eagle Dick line bred female to him for that very reason. he was trying to keep the traits of his ole dick dog.
and it worked, the mack dog showed all of the Red Eagle Dick / Crowding Billy traits. would not pack with strange dogs, get split with a coon, colder nosed, tighter mouthed and super accurate. he didn't get those traits from JR.

interesting. Many years ago I went hunting with a sacket Jr dog and he was fast on track, opened good on track, and was accurate but would not stay treed if a dog face barked him. Exactly the opposite from what ive heard. What I've allways heard about sacket Jr and rat attack was a tremendous amount of tree power and too much sometimes.

got the redeagle stuff down here with the speed and accuracy. have bred it, linebred it just like i did with finley river joe blood yrs ago and got superdogs. now i'm doing it with redaegle casey 111 blood. have young dogs now with sackett jr and stylish harry line bred in them 5 times each top and bottom and the red eagle twice, bad fast loud and accurate. have some pups now 11 mths trackman, rat attack, hard knockin china, hitman x stylish silk--tequlas mama and red eagle casey, ergsons carolina jade, bean, sty molly,SACKET 5 TIMES AND HARRY 4,JODIE 3 ABBY 3 bred gonna be the quick and the dead. got flat rock coma line bred red eagle bred male too. andsuperman hardwood henry x redeale casey 111 male too. so kings and queens and bad gyps and sons of bitchs with the red eagle traits. they will climb or they will get caught.
