Pretty hard to hunt the toenails off of a three legged dog that lives in the house. He will still hunt just as deep and hard as any dog I have ever owned. Only problem is he will loose between 2-5 pounds in one night of hunting because it is so taxing on his body. Next morning his ribs, spine, and hips will all be showing. Takes me another week to put weight back on him. If my daughter wants to paint his long nails HOT PINK it would be just fine by me. He doesn't have a thing to prove to me or anybody else. We will let his offspring do the talking from here on out.

Hey Jess and David, we plan on coming out next weekend (the 21st or 22nd) and might get a hotel out there if we bring the kids. how old are your kids again? mind if we stay and hang out for a while so our kids can get out of the car for a while?

kids are stoked to come either way but might enjoy it more if they are trapped in a car for 7 hours then stuck in a hotel room or whatever ya know?

Since David wont, I will tell you about Shine...

He comes from an amazing cross, I had one that started herself by 5 months, when I got divorced my husband sold her out from underneath me and has since refused to tell me who he sold her to, I'm still looking for her too.
He is a COONDOG. from what I saw he likes to be by himself, with a coon. he was LOUD too! On top of that, he has got to be smarter than any hound i've seen... I mean really, how many hounds do you know that knows "put your hands up" and "bang"? lol

oh and btw, I no longer own any relatives to Shine, nor do I (or have I ever) own(ed) any of his ancestors. I have never owned a hair on his head nor have I ever owned any pups off him... just to clarify, I have a completely unbiased opinion of him

Shine and Sport are half brothers. They both share the same sire - Ganus' Hoosier Blue Jug. However the two different females they are out of are full sisters.
