I have a pup off of Murphy and care bear. I got Kimber when she was almost 5 months and within 2 months of having her she was treeing squirrels and turned loose coon on her own. She is 11 months now and is treeing coon with other dogs. If I lived in an area with more coon I know she would be doing it alone, but I have maybe shown her 5 caged coon and I have just recently been able to put her in the woods more than once a week. Here are some pics and videos.

How are they handling the heat?

Do they get hot at the tree? Im looking for a Leopard that can take the summer heat and still be a solid treedog...

Mine does fine in the heat of WV. We've been out when it has been around 80 degrees but I don't like take any dogs out when its hotter than that. I do keep her in shape though she gets out twice during the day to walk. She has a thicker coat but I haven't found that it affects her hunting. She pants a lot when it is warm out but doesn't slow her down. Hope that helps some.

Got my first leopard off hubbie last winter 8month old male to run coyote and bobcat. At 9 months he was runnin coyotes by him self. Even tought my old walker a thing or two. We have a short bobcat season and never cut him loose on a track but had him on one decent track that went in the rocks before we cut him loose he wanted to go bad but it just wasn't a good track. Now he is runnin and treeing coon stay put tree dog. No doubt with a good track the bobcat will be the same. So far he seems to be a good all purpose dog with lots brains and personality. He is kinda an experiment runnin all these critters with one dog but defiantly seems to have the brains for it .

Any chance of seeing some pictures of Care Bear, standing on a bench, so we can see how he's built and seeing his pedigree. I'm not having any luck with google for finding his pedigree or seeing any pictures of him. Sorry I no longer subscribe to any of the coonhound magazines.
