Well the temp fell to 72 tonight so I had to take the boys to the Woods!!!

Well I loaded up Rock and Cajun and headed to a couple of corn fields that we have down here and I made three drops the first one they went a little over 800 yards and never got a bark so I loaded them up. I went to another spot and dropped them out again not a bark. So I decided I would try one last drop since the temp was down and we got a little rain this morning I just knew we would get after one. Well when I got to the next spot I got them out of the truck and cast them down along side of a corn field that is right next to a creek that always has water in it and it didn't take them long to get struck at first it was hit and miss and then they got lucky cause the coon was coming out of the corn field and down into the creek it went. Well the coon came out of the creek on to the gravel road I was parked on and crossed the bridge and went down on the other side. The coon got back into the creek and headed south and after about 200 yards it crossed the creek and turned and came back up notrh on the oppsire side of the creek it crossed a drift and then it came out of the creek into a freshly mowed hay field. And then went back south down the east side of the creek for about 500 yards and the coon decided he better climb a tree cause the tricks he had pulled hadn't worked and they were gaining on him! When I got to the tree it was a mess of vines and junk and after awhile I found him laying up in a mess of vines. I sure like to lisen to these two when they get a coon up and moving trust me they can put on a show and they will let you know it to. I can't wait to get Preacher back down here and put him back into the mix! I can't thank Brent Stevens enough he sure did a fine job getting Preacher and Cajun started and going in the right direction! Now its up to me to finish them out but I sure like the three I have now!

Ragin Cajun doing his thing

Rock and Cajun sure are looking good and they sure are something to lisen to!

Thanks Jason, I sure like what I'm seeing maybe in the next year we can get together and go hunting! I would like for you to see them in the woods. I think any one of them would really cross good on your line. I'll keep you posted hopefully we can get together at Autumn Oaks and go for a turn out or two.

If they keep going the way they are they will be awesome. We sure have enjoyed hunting with them and they are all pretty impressive. Anyone would be proud to have one or all in their kennel! Looking forward to chasing some of our Michigan coons with you all again.

Thanks, everybody for the kind words and compliments on these two they sure are improving. I believe between these tw and Preacher I'm going to have some real nice dogs by the end of this season. Time will tell and someone will get a real nice dog cause I'm only going to keep two of the three but I'm in no hurry to figure out which one I will sell cause they are all three doing good.

NICE!

They are looking good! Keep enjoying the time in the woods with them. Don't envy you the decision on who to sell...but sure envy the lucky person to get the one.....

Well it looks like I'm driving up to Detroit MI again I'll be heading up there on the 26th of July and come home on the 16th of Aug. I'm not sure which dog I'll take this time maybe Both Rock and Cajun I know they both would love the cooler weather and all those coon! Guess I'll figure it out soon and maybe I won't take either one cause Preacher is already up there anyway I can hunt him while I'm there.

Been seeing lots of coon. They finished off the mulberries and the corn is head high so there should be some good corn field races! Going to get down in the 50's at night this week. And best of all our training season will finally be in!
