Hare in Mich

My wife, and I are heading to Michigan to hunt them, not sure what to expect. Only have one beagle, and he's never run them before! Would like to know where the best places to hunt them are, and how is it different than hunting cottontails! Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
