Performance Pack State Race State Designations 2015
http://www.ukcdogs.com/Web.nsf/News...3262015043818PM
Hey Allen not trying to ruffle feathers here but wouldn't it be more fair to combine states that don't have enough hunts with other states that don't have enough hunts. Not sure if the logistics with all of it but doesn't seem right to put it with a state that's doing their part and holding enough trials. I know it was this way last year. So just looking for your input here. Thanks

So is it now a states race or should we just call it a regional race? Maybe I'm wrong but I thought the objective of the chase was to identify the best dog in each state, who really cares if there are 5 or 15 hunts in the state we are looking for the top dog in the state right. For those of us in md this pretty much eliminates US from our own state race despite having the required 6 hunts a year.
Will states that don't have the 6 hunts be allowed to hold state championship hunts with double points?
Guys, after this year PA will have six hunts. We will probably have 6 hunts this year they just weren't scheduled before March 1st. So do y'all think it would be better to put PA with NY? NY isn't holding any hunts.
Broken Gun, if you are trying to find the best dog in each state then what you are saying is that the dog shouldn't be allowed to earn points in any state but the state it lives in. I've seen dogs that very rarely compete in their state and still are in the top of the state race.

No my point was combine the states that don't have enough hunts till u have a group that does. It's not just a md thing. Theirs others there to WV VA for example. Just to me would be better to ad the states that don't hold the required amount of hunts to other states that don't hold the required amount of hunts. Just seems the way it is now isn't fair to the states who are.

It's been this way since day one but I do get your points. It's certainly something to think about and consider a change that would make it better. History suggests that dogs from a state lumped in with a neighboring state are at a disadvantage when it comes to winning the state race because they do not have the number of events to compete in within their own "backyard" so to speak.
In any event, I just wanted to point out that this is the way it was set up from the start.
I understand that Allen. And I think it was done right this year announcing it when you did. I know last year it wasn't announced till towards the end and had a few people from pa drop out of the race due to it. Just thought it would make more sense grouped with states that don't have enough hunts. Thanks for the reply Allen.
