What dogs

What dogs did you spectate or draw out with at Black and Tan days, that really impressed you?

I drew some very nice dogs this year and dont want to take anything away from any of them but the ones that impressed me the most was My Dog Dice and Late Round Joker. i drew alot of nice dogs but these two had the kind of style I like in a hound. Every cast i was in had some impressive dog work and all of the guys handling the dogs were great to hunt with. Made Black and Tan Days alot of fun.

I don't know about impressed hound. But on Thursday night I saw a cast of dogs do some outstanding work. Dogs in cast from Black Ox, Klepto's Kidd and can't remember the females name owned by Morehead. Never looked at my watch thru the whole hunt but I would say there was a hound or hounds treed or coon caught on ground within 10 min. of being cut any where within a couple hundred yards to 800 to 900yds. except for the last 23 min. but did get to hear a fast running track in that time period. Never looked up a tree without seeing a coon.

Also got to see some nice hound work on Sat. night in a youth cast. What did impress me was the sportsmanship shown by the youth. What impressed me was the youth handler that withdrew his female as the male dogs seemed to be attracted to her though to me she didn't look as if she was swelled. She defiantly was smelling and attracting dogs for whatever reason and the handler with drew her even though he hunted her the 2 nights prior to Saturday night.

Blake I know your male had an off night. Would love to see him go again sometime. Thanks for the comments on Cloudy. I was very happy with her for being out of shape and footsore from hunting every night. Hope to see you all next year.

I had a great hunt Thurs. night. Two dogs withdrew at the clubhouse because they didn't want to drive to Selmer (and I don't blame them-long drive) I drew gr ch grntch rough creek dolly. We got a non hunting judge and went hunting about 8 miles from the club. We just got lucky and put in coons. We treed 5. Dolly had first strike on every turn loose and Trip was on her A game and slammed all but one first. It was one of the best hunts I have had in a long time and dolly looked great. I cant thank the good LORD above enough for putting TRIP into my life. She is just a very special hound. Thanks to Jamie Perrin for letting me handle her.

I know Trip is a nice one. I got to hunt with her thanksgiving. I didn't have much of a hunt on Thursday, but the next two nights I saw some decent dogs. On Saturday I drew out with a buddy from arkansas, Doyan Moreland. He placed Friday with a nice little female. We had a good hunt going until some off game got in our way. Lol
