Atention All English People

I want to take a min and let all y'all know about what I think is a fairly well kept secret. That secret is Alex Combs GR. NT. CH stud dog COMBS HARDTIME EDDIE. Eddie is a grandpup of the well known CODY JAR. when my female came in heat I contacted a bunch of English breeders and stud dog owners. The best advice I got was from Asa Briggs. Asa said if you just want to sell pups then breed one of several different big name studs but if you want to breed to a sure nuff go hunting get treed coondog then look up Alex and Eddie. I bred my dog to Eddie. I also went to hunt with Eddie and man I'm glad I did. When Eddie was cut loose he went hunting. He didn't mill around and piss on everything around.. He left out hunting. Coons weren't moving good where we were so he had to get deep and he did. He got treed deep and stayed till we finally got there. Not only is he super hard hunting get deep get treed coondog, he handled like a soldier. when time to leave the tree., Leash him up drop the lead and out he came. Then I saw a 12 or 13 month old pup out of Eddie. It was evident she was out of him. Cut her loose and she was gone. Young female with very lil time in woods and she went as deep as the old dogs. Big mouth, smart, gorgeous head, full of fire and grit. I was so impressed I bought her and brought her home. Then I saw a 9 mo. Old pup out of Eddie. I have never seen a pup with more grit and a good mouth as that pup. She ran in and grabbed a big ole sow coon that was alive and mad as heck. Now that coon laid it to that pup but not one time did that pup back up. Now I have 9 of the most beautiful EDDIE pups any man could ask for. If any of these pups have the heart, desire, brains, grit, mouth or fire there daddy has then I'll have something. So guys when looking for a coondog stud dog....call Alex, go see EDDIE. I believe if he gets somemore good females bred he will leave a positive and lasting impact on the English breed. Big nice full page color ads don't make a coondog. Breeding to EDDIE on the other hand will. You guys with top females try him. He's 8 yrs old and bringing nice big litters. I don't own a hair on him. This is just my totally unsolicited opinion.

Everything Mr Hester said about Eddie is 100% on the mark. I have hunted with Eddie many nights. Night after night get gone get tree'd, split many times from the others and very accurate. Also easy on the eyes.

I agree with Greg and the other fello but will also add that there's not any bred like him that I know of. Plus Alex is a straight shooter if you have any questions. Lots of old hard to find blood in ol Eddie

I agree with Greg also have owned a littermate sister to Eddie and still have that bloodline in my kennel today , good old blood right here , don't pass him up Eddie is a nice one that will produce , hunted with him when he was young and he was nice then can't imagine what he is now with a little age on him.

Mr. Hester, thanks for the kind words. It's been a blessing owning a hound like Eddie. Have never tried to stud him out and don't plan on it..not in this sport to make 400 dollars on stud fees and breed everything and anything to him. Anyone is more than welcome to come for a hunt and breed their nice females for a pup. He has been bred very little with great results. Hopefully we get a few more bred to him before he is gone..again thanks for the kind words and your more than welcome to come up any night.

Thanks for the invitation Alex, I'll take you up on it several more times this season. This litter I have of Eddie pups are marked up gorgeous. Should be one in the bunch for every hard to please eye. Soon as they up running around I'll post some pics to show off ole eddies pups. Thanks again Alex. Guys Greg hit the nail on the head when he talked about Alex. Straight shooter, class act and for 25 yr old kid by God you can't beat him. His parents raised a good boy.. Guys line up some top females and some good blooded hard TREEDOG females. Eddie can, will and probably already has reproduced some that can make a huge mark in the comp. world. Alex ain't trying to get rich off Eddie and I don't own a hair on him, just like to see the English breed start putting more good hard hunting hard treeing smart hounds out there. Maybe make in a dent in those other spotted hounds..guys give Alex a call. You'll be glad you did..

I have to say your comment about Alex and Eddie are right on target! Alex is a hard hunter and a great guy, Eddie is a no nonsense type dog, all buisness. Same everytime you cut him loose, he trees a coon hot or cold. I would encourage you guys with nice females to come hunt with Eddie, what your reading is what you will see.

Eddie is a good looking hound. I've heard that line is good about busting a hole in the dark and really driving tracks with accuracy of meat on the end. Those are the kind i dont mind carrying feed and water to right there. Hope you get some good gyps bred to him and keep you some of it around. Best of luck to you.

heard thru the grapevine that there is another young Eddie pup still n middle tn. that's ab 14 months old and treeing real live wild coons. Another offspring off Combs HARDTIME Eddie that is proof that Eddie is reproducing hard hunting, get gone, real live, wild coon treeing coondogs. If Eddie was in the hands of some of the bigger well known stud dog owners he would be one of the most sought after studs alive. Don't wait to late guys. Eddie is coming 8 but still throwing nice big healthy live litters. And a kicker to boot is that Alex is still hunting Eddie and will show him to anybody...remember to bring your boots cause eddie will take you wherever he has to, to find a coon. Even if your female ain't ready yet, still go see Eddie go..you can thank me later for letting this secret out.
