Hubs produced the traits of his mother, much like Fred.
Queen was first and foremost a reproducer. Queen was independent, very smart, fast, action packed dogs.

He looks like a hound who is in top running shape to me. A little of rib is fine for a working dog, and it doesn't mean that the dog is not getting the nutrition it needs.

Yeah a little rib is fine if a dog is being hunted hard.Seeing several ribs and all of there spine is a little much.Jmo.Good looking hound either way.

I think the back bone is easily seen only because of the manor the dog is being lifted up. Look at the position of the back legs and how far forward and under his body they are. This causes the spine to curve up in front of the hips.

If he looks skinny mine must look like death. He does eat plenty of Purina Pro Plan and has his once a month heart guard. He lives in a nice kennel. Fresh bedding weekly. Fresh water daily. Pen washed daily. BUT I CAN NOT KEEP WEIGHT ON HIM. I did pull him off tree at breaking daylight the last 7 out of 9 nights.

feed him in morning when get back from hunting and in afternoon before hunting or put a selffeeder in frount and see what happens,

if that dont work, have ma fix up some biskets and give couple twice a day..you know what them biskets do for us ,should put weight on the dogs too.
