Help me find some blood

PLEASE READ

My Dad is Ronald Chapman. Dad many years ago started with 2 English bitches. Chapman's Flying Lady and Chapman's Burning Queen. He breed to Hardtime Speck. From this cross came many great coon hounds.

One of these Dogs was Hard Time Buddy. He won the first Joy Dog Food Coon hound of the Year. Buddy and Dad won a lot. Dad won a ton with the females before Buddy. I grew up going to hunts with him where it seemed like he won everything. I judged hunts from the time I was 13 on.

Between a hitch in the Navy and a family at a young age I missed a lot of the last years my dad hunted. He retired to TN and mom bought him a horse and he has never really hunted again like he use too.

Dad got into Endurance riding with Horses and met many friends and attained every goal he set for himself. Than after a ride one night his horse got bound up and had a rupture and died.

Dad had never been in a hospital and for his age he was like superman. He has now had 2 major surgeries. Almost 2 weeks ago Dad got bit by a copperhead.

This got me thinking of some of our best times and I know he still loves to hear a hound run.

SO IF ANYONE knows of any dogs that have any of dads old line it please let me know

Thank you Mr. Tackett. I found this going through your English thread. Its funny because that is Dads dog but that is NOT my dad. My dad had a gentleman hunt buddy in a few hunts that he could not make it to. Somehow when this came out in the book they used a picture they had on file.

Your dad was a great houndsman, I sure always enjoyed visiting with him every year at English days. Good luck in your search and tell your dad I said hello.

Mr.Reid, Thanks for the kind words. Dad has a couple English pups now but I can't remember what they are out of. I was given a young walker dog the other day myself . But I sure would like to find something from dads old line.
