Barn find!
Got to brag a little! I found a triple X male put for cheap on Craigslist. To be honest, I never heard of X until I bought the pup. This thing has been the easiest starting dog I have ever owned, and I've probably started 20. My first English and he is making me a believer! He can wind coons from way off. Swims big rivers; water dog! Absolutely a killer with no remorse whatsoever! Def to other dogs. Wired up tight and runs like a small block Chevy! He is going to make some noise!
His bottom side is pretty good too!

A great looking hound. Good luck should be a coon treeing hound.

Good thing he has natural ability, because he doesn't give a rats butt what other dogs are doing. 80% of the time he will ignore them. Tough to train him with another dog.
He does have an issue or two though.
I live in thin coon country. With that being said Bo has treed five or so right by himself. Alone. However, I walked to many trees in the summer and fall and didn't see anything, so after leaves came off I began sending him from those trees, because they were still empty. He strikes runs a track locates and trees most of the time very close 200 yds or less. Do you think it is squirrels?
Thursday he smoked a boar to a five acres pond. coon swam the length with Bo in tow. Bo got him bayed for a while in a hole on the dam and the coon got away to swim it again. Bo lost him after that. I watched the coon and dog swim from the dock

first hunt
Hunted Bo in a local hunt. Dead cast, but 1st drop Bo was 700 yds opposite of everything else on a big pine tree on a pond dam. Other dogs came in after we were shinning. So im sitting on 3rd strike first tree circle. Next drop all dogs hung up around some water at a creek. Bo started drifting back again he covered 300 or so yards by the Garmin and located. I didn't stick him, and its a good thing he left; ended up close to the others on the creek. The others left and went where he located, maybe a little deeper and treed. Minus. He then came in after we shined that tree.
next hunt:
Dropped my B&T waited a few minutes went down the road a mile or so and dropped Bo the opposite way. Bo covered ground fast and struck. smoked a short track and really rolled on the tree. Best I've heard him tree. Had the meat, but wrong flavor,Opposum! Dang.

Sounds good
I like a hound that go the other way from the pack hunt 3 hounds most of the time both females have that Sunkist blood and both go the other way from each other makes for along night but I go to the dogs as I come to them my male will run with whichever one he comes to first unless he is up on the wood Treed. Stay in there you sound like you have a goodone there.
