Need to start thinking about breeding...

Well my female just got hit by a car tonight. I believe she's going to be fine. She's eaten, drank, and is sleeping inside in my mudroom tonight. As many times as I've nodded my head and agreed to the saying every time you unsnap them it might be the last, that hasn't hit home truly until tonight... I had thought about breeding her on her next cycle, which has been August every year, but was hesitant after I seen how being bred had set her mother back... she's going to be three in April, and is the best dog I've owned and trained. I've read and seen what people call a quick first strike dog, she's it... doesn't babble, and I'd strike her on the first squeal that comes out of her mouth she's that honest. Has a beautiful locate you could call after hunting with her once, and trees at about 130 barks a minute. Has slicked, of course, but am usually on a 22 for 22 steak before a slick comes along and I hunt her through all seasons here in Michigan.

Her biggest fault to me is she sometimes tends to hit a few too many trees before settling in, and has shown signs of being jealous over trees. She gets mad if a dog gets the tree in front of her, and I've had issues in hunts when she won't pick up and leave right away if a dog gets a tree on her.

I'm wondering if now is the time to start checking out some stud dogs to see if they have what might compliment her, and mostly wanting to reach out to the English powers at be, to ask for advice. Her pedigree is listed below. Thanks for reading my long winded-ness...
