Gees this English board looks like the Plot or X Breed boards! I remember when there were several topics on different bloodlines of English. I know a lot of people may have quit hunting over the years but this is pitiful. Lets bring it back to where it used to be!

Yep they joined the Facebook groups...easy to post pictures.
Join us at English Coonhound Houndsman...we have over 16,000 members and add about 15 to 20 new members daily. Not tooting our on horn but it's the best hound page on FB.

I know Facebook is the biggest problem with not many people posting on this English board but if you look at Treeing walkers, blue ticks, redbones and Black and Tan boards there is plenty going on. Are you saying that people with those breeds do not have Facebook? When I think about Facebook I think of cheating on my wife. Lol when I want to talk English hounds I think of UKC.

I am not saying they don't have facebook. Actually, they have several facebook groups.

The english facebook page is where I see alot of guys posting pics and talking dogs. It is user friendly and in my pocket at all times. It is monitored closely to eliminate any drama, profanity, etc... we have a group of excellent people supervising each post.

As far as the other breeds..... maybe their pages aren't as CLASSY as the english page and people still come here because they don't like the page... not sure.... I've never been there.

But, I do agree... these message boards do seem to be used less these days...

Buy yourself a heated water dish. I got mine at Farm and Fleet. We had -30 temps here and water didn't freeze in my hounds water bowl

Yeah Jonathan heated water buckets or dishes are all I know that keep them from freezing. Which is a pain in the butt if your dogs are not close to a power outlet! Don’t try the whole salt water bottle in the bucket or dish because it doesn’t work, all you will end up with is a bottle frozen in a block of ice. At least that is what’s been going around on FB to try. Lol!!

I've gotta build new kennels and they will have power outside the kennels and lights. I've been dumping ice every morning and refilling buckets. Also been soaking their food the past two weeks.

Leave a full water bottle in the bowl. As long as you have something floating around and keeping the water moving here and there, it doesn't freeze as fast or as thick.
