Southern Illinois Lodging

Heading to Southern Illinois in November any recommendations on lodging. I would like to find a campground with cabins and I good place to tie the dogs out. I’m looking around the Mount Vernon area

Look up Rend Lake, there are cabins there. Now if your planning on hunting them dogs, then better make sure your not planning on coming during the shotgun deer season, because coonhunting is shutoff them weekends.

Yes we will be bringing some young hounds to hunt the Rend Lake area November 10-14. Are you allowed to hunt on Sunday in Illinois

Yes you can hunt in Illinois on Sunday. You are showing up the week before shotgun season (there are only a few weekends you can shotgun hunt there). It's a good time to get run out of private woods you accidentally get on. Better be careful.
