Yea......quit toneing it !
Have you tried snapping a long string on the dog and working with it in a field or your yard?
Toning
I have one doing same thing. And it is my fault! I have him confused. So I will change my bad habit and try to get him back on track. I call him and watch handheld when he is coming in I tone once on low setting. And keep calling as he comes in. Petted him up real good. Started reprograming Friday & Saturday night.
Pamjohnson's method is a good one also.
Randi Bidlack
Might take a little time, but start in the yard with his favorite treats and a rope. Reward him when he comes to you as you call. After a few days of positive response start working in a short tone when you call. Always rewarding him with praise and treats. May take some time, but he will get it and be really happy to hear you call or tone.
