Broke & Busted Male

Young male. This dog has potential for making something pretty nice but we just don’t have the game here, especially right now, to do him any good. He’s a good looking hound with a big mouth. Has no trouble going hunting, he can run and tree a coon, tree a possum, run a deer etc but he’s a very intelligent dog, the first night I hunted him he treed a possum, I scolded him and turned him loose and he ran a deer, I shocked him on that and to my knowledge he’s not ran another deer and he’s not treed another possum, I know he’s had the opportunity to do both but for some reason he hasn’t. When I first got him he wasn’t broke to tone or correction, matter of fact if u shocked him he’d freeze up, he is now tone broke, if u tone him he will be to u soon. Another thing about him is when u get to the tree he shuts up, he doesn’t quit, doesn’t mill around, just stands there bug eyed looking up, some like that some don’t. I personally would rather him keep treeing and if I keep him I plan to work on that. Other than that he can trail a coon up, tree a coon, he’s accurate, he’s independent but will also back a dog if he doesn’t have anything going on. All that I see that he needs is hunted and right now around here this time of year I think it does more harm than good, most wouldn’t understand it but it is what it is. I’m located in Clintwood Va, it would take 2500 to buy him if interested. Serious inquiries only please. 276-220-2668
