I would like to see the pedigree of a $1000 Bluetick pup. Their sire and dam must have won all over the country.

That’s what I’ll get or I’ll keep them. Just how it is sir! A the sir has for sure done some serious winning a the female is allll coondawg! An her momma won winter classic an her brother full littermate brother got hung up at the world hunt a still won after knocking a walker gyp in heat off lol. I’d say the proofs in the pudding. I didn’t breed them to sell anyways really. Hints 9’pups only 5 for sale lol. I don’t breed to breed. I look for coonhounds unlike most. Don’t like the price don’t call. Price want change

Posting the pedigree might help, but I'd say if you are asking $1000 a pup out of a female with no titles, you should be prepared to keep the whole litter. I've raised Bluetick dogs all my life and had some pretty good ones, but I have never sold a weaning pup for $1000.

Have you raised any recently? Cause a grand a pup ain’t hitting on much an I’ve got a ton in stud fee an a ton in surgical breeding an I am fully prepared to keep the hole litter then at 6 months you can call me an ill sell ya one for 5k lol. Btw knowing breeding sometimes matters more than titles. Been with a many of title dogs an to hunts a some where impressive a some really wasn’t. Now off that how do I post pics an stuff on here lol. I don’t use the internet much I don’t really raise or sell pups either. So I don’t know how to use this site.

Just curious, but why would you go with artificial insemination? If I’m not mistaken drifter is right here in Arkansas, and I’m sure Steven charged a decent stud fee but I doubt it was much higher than what they were charging for Woodrow when he was alive. I’ve bought several top Bluetick pups out of hounds that have done some serious winning & are top reproducers and have yet to see a single one go for more that $450-$600 tops. Heck you can get a 1yo started country bred female for $1000. That said, more power to you, I don’t breed to sell pups either & if someone did try and buy one it wouldn’t be cheap! I hope you sell each one for exactly what you’re asking. Drifter is a good looking hound & comes out of a real coonhound himself so should be some nice big mouthed pups. My son is gonna have our Hooker gyp at the hunt in Monticello on April 4th, maybe we can see you there & possibly even draw out in the same cast.

My female was 8 years old and she has a weird heat cycle an I caught her kinda late an at that point surgically breeding was the only option. She is 8 and has never been breed. She came from a buddy of mine that’s raised blue dogs all his life. Her mom an her breeding is all personal dogs of mister bobs at making music kennels. Banjo was a cooondawggg. I agree the price is high but honestly so is raising them an I’m not giving anything away. But mister Steven is an absolute nice fella and would do anything to help anyone you are correct. He is an awesome guy. I’m selling these pups for what he sold his last liter for seems fair to me. He even said his self my female even some dogs are not titled are well known a she is breed exceptionally well. She is allll coondog to. Only thing I got to hunt against yaw is a 9 month old cross breed blue berry wine pup but he is tuff

Titles aren’t everything, see a lot of good pr dogs especially considering the guys that hunt pkc only. I’ve always felt that us bluetickers undervalue our dogs, but that’s mostly because it’s usually comp hunters that pay top dollar for a pup. I’ve got two pups coming from a nice cross that Mike Shepherd and George Goldman made that will be on the ground in a month or so. My Hooker dog is only 14 months old and this’ll be the first hunt we’ve put her in, but when she shows up she’s tough. Not finished by any means, she’s the type that needs hunted at least 4-5 nights a week to look her best. When she’s in the kennel three days or more you gonna have a lot of silly to run out of her on that first drop. She’s out of the Hook dog and a nitech female out of Leroy/Molly. She’s gonna be something special.

That’s awesome brother a yes most blue dogs are underpriced. To me they should cost more than a walker because they are not as common a breeding that’s good is harder to find. I like to look at coons not make trees. I’ve hunted walkers most of my life and lord at the empty trees. Blue dogs turned me on because of there tracking abilities and honesty an they seem to aim to please more
