Garmin PROBLEMS
Any one else having tracking problems? I have a 200i & a 300, the 200i started showing dog behind me, when I am hearing dog in front of me, went to compass page had to calabrate, then worked right. 300 doing same thing. it messes up after i'm in the woods. anyone else having these problems?
Its not unusual to have to calibrate the compass.I had a 100 i had to calibrate often. My 200 and 300 not very often. If your other collars are working ok it may be the collar.Ive had collars do that.Show the dog in a wrong location.Mostly mini 15 collars.Garmin will tell you to update every thing before helping you fix it.That may fix it.I always carry my dependable compass with me when coonhuntin so i can see if the arrow on the screen is pointing north so i dont get lost.I hunted with a man one night and when we were leaving the tree his garmin showed the truck the opposite direction than mine did.I checked his with my compass and told him he needed to calibrate the compass and he did and his read like mine. You cant trust a gps 100%..They will get you lost.ha
