Start off by saying Check will tree ever coon he sticks his noise to. But he is a quirky dog that takes a few days to take up with you. But once he does if you don’t beat and thump and shock all the time you’re fine. Check is what I’d call a pleasure dog that can and will win cast if given a chance. A close to medium range hunting dog that takes his tracks as he comes to them . He runs a coon like he is tied to it opening about right on the ground. Good up on the wood tree dog that not growly in any way. He is as accurate as anything I’ve hunted with and more accurate than most. Will split tree and hold pressure but if he doesn’t have anything going on he will check a dog out . Never saw him fool with any type of junk but he is just a dog so who knows. Dog handles well . And minds great leading out of the woods never taking the slack out of the lead. Kennel quite at home. Priced cheap for the type dog he is.
