New coonhunter here. Never been a coon hunter looking into getting a dog. Currently hit the woods w my 3 kiddos. Question for you old timers... why do the walker dogs dominate historically 3-1 most UKC coonhunts? More compete or better on hot tracks? Both? Trying to pick a breed id like to not get a walker since they seem most popular but... I'd like to also have a dog to run squirrels but I'll probably get a separate dog for that.
