6 years old. As nice as any that you will find. One of the loudest dogs you will hear. VERY accurate. I bought him last November and have treed a truck load of coons with him. This dog needs a week or 2 to get adjusted to their new owner. I took him out the day after I bought him, and he treed 2 slicks back to back. You could tell that he wasn't very comfortable. A week later after settling in, it was game on. I hunted him the entire coon season and there was only 1 tree that I couldn't find the coon. The dog is deadly accurate, in the truest sense of the phrase. You will not be walking to empty trees with this hound. Purchased from Terry Bennett in Missouri. Other references available. Rebel has been on Simparica Trio since I've had him. Located in Suffolk, VA 757-409-4449. $6500. Breed a nice female and he will pay for himself! Check out Rebel's Facebook page in the link below.

The cons: He can be over possessive with food. I wouldn't recommend feeding him with other dogs. Also, I was told that he needs to be tied back when shooting a coon out with other dogs. I cannot confirm this aggression, as I only hunted him by himself.

Here’s some pups out of Rebel. They are 4 months old. He’s throwing some nice ones!

Update on Rebel:

He’s been laid up almost 4 months.

Finally took him out last week and he treed a bear. I got on him and he worked another track good then treed on a big den tree.

A fella came this weekend to hunt him and he didn’t do so good. Coons weren’t moving, it was hot, Rebel couldn’t find a track to run at all. On the third drop Rebel treed another bear. Bear kept climbing down and Rebel kept running and treeing the bear every 100 yards or so until I finally toned and shocked him off the bear. Needless to say it was a rough night and the gentleman was not impressed. Neither was I!

Took him out again last night and Rebel treed a coon. I saw the evidence. Second drop, Rebel worked a track and treed on a huge old rotted den tree. Rebel has been rusty from being laid up, but he’s getting tuned back up. The heat isn’t getting him down. Rebel is a nice hound.

I will take $4500 for Rebel. Rebel is a very accurate hound that will tree you a lot of coons. Rebel is 6 years old and can still do some winning too! He has plenty of energy. I’m taking a big loss on Rebel at this price.

Rebel is kept in a big homemade pen in the garage. We will be moving soon and I need to get the pen broken down and the garage cleared out. I am selling Rebel out of necessity, not due to any fault of his own. Someone will be getting a very nice finished coon dog at a great price.

Only 2 1/2 months until coon season. Here is a finished coon dog directly out of Ol’ South’s Stylish Rebel.

I’m open to offers on Rebel. He is NOT sterile. My female had 11 pups off him in February. He’s full of energy. If you have an all grand female, you can breed her and have a litter of all grand pups that will more than pay for Rebel.
