Lion hunting info

Myself and couple buddies are looking for a place to run a lion in NM, CO, ID...... We are from WV and want to bring our own bear hounds and try to run a cat. We are not looking for anyone's honey hole, just a place we could possibly find a track and see if we could get it treed. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Can't speak for CO or NM, but Idaho you need a hound permit and they are a lottery drawing for Nonresidents. They give 70 out year for the state and have a few different areas that have different quotas. I believe CO and NM is all over the counter but don't know much more about it. But the best luck I have had is hope for snow, doesn't always happen., find a public canyon or big section of public, find a food source for them and start looking from the truck, on foot, or off snowmobile

Happy hunting
