Bump Cap

I have a light on a soft cap and want to change it to a bump cap. What bump cap do you guys like? Where to get one? Cost? Must have swivel bracket for the head.

most of them are using same cap. all the suppliers sell them.
They run about 15.00 and already have swivel a on them.
I got a sunfire style and like the feel.
Only issue with it was I wear it snug any one of 4 corners would pull out when taking it off. I put epoxy on them now it is fine

I actually bought a real construction hard hat and mounted my Big Dog Lite battery and head on it. I like the ease of adjustability far better on the for real hard hat as opposed to the bump cap.

Yeah. I have tried using the safety caps too. Reason I did not mention them is with my own experience.
There are many different suspensions in them .Get the wrong one and you will regret it. They also sit further off your head then the hunting caps . I got probably 1/2 dozen sitting here right now I tried and rejected because they just don't work right and are uncomfortable IMO.

You’re right, the suspension is different. The thing that has annoyed me most with the last few bump caps I’ve had is that the suspension you speak of kept pulling out of the bump cap slots if I had the cap fitting tight enough to stay on my head without constantly shifting around.

Right, same here. Aggravating. I was going to drill a small hole through that part and put a pin or screw through it. What I ended up doing was plastic epoxy over the end of it. No problems since .Did the job for me

We use to take a lighter and melt the end just a tad......nothing would pull it out
The ERB #67 is my Favorite Bump Cap. Same one Big Dog & Laser Torch use.
