My buddy from Alaska called with bear report last night. I took him my Washburn bred 2 yr old male dog to run with his. They are littermates. My hound never even seen a bear before the 1st of July. He is striking good from the truck and is getting it done in the timber. They treeded a good one Sunday afternoon, Ray got to tree and it was about 8 feet up and mad, it then went on up & out of sight on the spruce. Dogs looked good as they are just 2 yr olds and we only have the 2. They are having to train us and themselves at the same time. I am sure proud of my little hound and can't wait for September to get back to hunt with him. Ray forgot the camera, but promised to remember it the next time. Man am i excited about the new pups and what they are going to bring to our hunting program.
