Post Your MOST Memorable Hunting Pics

Lets keep the to two pics per hunter. These do not need to be the Best pics you have just pics that were taken on your most memorable Hunts.
This pic is of NtCh Light Foot Ms Spyder and Red Bird. What made this hunt so Memorable for me was that it took place hunting in the Toughest place to tree a coon I have ever hunted. Water about knee deep, Bad Nasty Stinking Mud about 6 inces deep under the water, Lots of fallen timber and more brush than you could Beleive. We were hunting with a dog that won a world hunt that year. The owner of that dog had to go get him and carry him out. The Dog could go no farther. The World Ch Dog was a Good hound but This place was Unreal. You can See how Nasty my hounds looked When They Treed the coon, The Pic looks Foggy from the Steam off the Dogs

Light Foot Chipper

I was hunting in Iowa one winter, Took a pup along that was less than 4 mths old. Just planning on getting the pup used to the box, crossing creeks and the normal stuff. My old dogs treed a coon the pup went that way and I thought he would make the tree. I get to the tree No pup. I thought he must have went back to the truck. Walked the old dogs away from the tree and I here a dog running Way south of me. I turn the old dogs loose headed toward the truck and tree 1 more coon. Lead the dopgs back to the truck. No pup at the truck. I start driving the section road guessing the pup ran the road. As I come across the south end of the section I here a dog treeing his heart out. I just sat and listened for awhile wondering who was hunting such a nice treedog. Long story short after Looking and Looking I can not find my pup. So I go back to where I here the dog treeing thinking maybe the pup went to the hard treeing dog. He Did It was my PUP treeing. The pup died at 8mths old I will always wonder how good of a Hound Chipper would have made

Chipper
Was hit by a car while running a coon. The pup was making a Super nice young hound. I will always wonder what he could have become.

i didnt take this pic sent to me by bow greene from nh -- but this is the kind of pic u get on a memorable hunt--i wouldnt trade a pic like this for any i ever took -when its so thick u cant move and bear is 2 feet away --this ol boy is either catching dogs or anything but taking pictures - bow is bill greenes grandson - i can remeber growing up hearing storys about bill greenes hounds - he was sorta a legend like ben lilly or dale lee-

this one is memorable-- it was raining--

u ever hear ron white when he says " i was throwed out of the bar-- i wasnt asked to leave , i mean i was thrown out a the bar--"

well thats what im talking about when i say it was raining-- we sat in truck with windows down 1/2 inch for about a half hour listening to dogs before it let up enuff to breathe or see to walk -it looks like was raining in pic --thats nothin-

Hello everyone I'm new to the board but really enjoy reading your hound stories, especially the ones with bear and mt. lion.
I sure wish we had some of those to hunt here in Comanche Texas.
These are a couple of our hogs we killed last year with a knife..

great thread Jess. good place for everyone to share pics of there favorite hounds and such.

this photo was a couple years ago. Very memorable for me because I was able to help a friend get his first cougar which was a real nice Tom and also because this was my female Bandits last hunt. She died just a few days later from complications. The second hound in the photo is my Spanky hound he is now 11.

By far the two best hounds I ever owned.......

Thanks Spanky

I have been ask by several people Why I posted Pics about coon hunting rather than Big game Pics.
I most enjoy the hunts that were just TOUGH where the Hounds surprised and pleased me with their ability. I also wanted to show that Real Coon Hounds <not just score card dogs> can produce Big Game dogs. And Good Big game dogs can produce Top Coon Hounds. I put a limit of Two pics per person otherwise I would Post some of my Most Memorable Big game Hunts. I do Have several.

Bobby, I use tinypic.com. Just go to a search engine and type in tinypic. com and then open the site. click the browse box and it will let you get a pic from your computer, your pictures, etc... When you find the image you want double click it. There should now be some text in the box next to where it says browse. Under the box with the text is a box that says upload, click it. Three boxes with text will appear and you use the middle one for forums. All you do is type the text exactly as it appears in the box into your post and the pic should appear. Hope this helps if not let me know - Kevin

This day could have been a train wreck, but we pulled the dogs off this bayed up lion with minimal damage to the hounds.
The dogs are Idaho Lightfoot Snapshot, Idaho Lighfoot Rev, Sage and Idaho Lightfoot Coby.

One of my best hunts yet was tonite with my 18 month old pup named 'PR' Cedar Creek Timbers Blu Junior. He did a nice job on a big ole bore coon. 5 inches of snow about 10 degrees not to bad for a pup!

first time I ever herd elwood tree

I cant post pics yet so I am having Jess post the pic. The most memorable hunt I ever had was my first night hunting Light Foot Elwood. I have been around treedogs my whole life, at least I thought I had. Elwood started a track that the others dogs couldnt smell and was just moving it along at a farily good pace about 20 min into this track opld Elwood just Screamed like something was killing him. I never herd anything like it I was worried that something bad happened to him. Elwood got quite just long enough to make me really start to wrooy and BAM he started treeing like no hound That I ever herd before. Barked well over 120 and so loud that he sounded like a whole pack of dogs. I have owned good hounds sice Elwood maybe some that were better But never have I herd a dog tree like Elwood. Still gives me a chill just remembering him. Elwood was the Loudest Hardest Tree dog I ever hunted. I never raised a pup from him but I wish I would have.

this was a memorable hunt for me cuz this was the last bear I got to see my little gyp under. I had a finley river & yadkin river bred female that I lost 2 months before bear season came in and then this little gyp which was Yadkin,Nailor , lipper bred female I lost 2 days after the picture was taken .I had raised her since she was a 1 year old and she was 12 when I lost her. This was the last bear she got to tree. My other female I lost I had raised from 4 weeks old and she was 11 when I lost her .So this hunt meant alot to me.Heres my little gyp molly doing what she loved to do. heres the bear we treed that day

Here's a old (1990) photo I had taken in Utah, the dogs had this cat on the ground putting the stretch to her. We started pulling dogs off when my friend got his boot snagged. That cat sliced those Schee's front to back, he had the boots one day. I never laughed so much, boy was he **%%%@@@.
