yes i believe the fish and wildlife dept. are turning them loose, i believe they should leave the lion out west where they belong with plenty of open space to roam around,it is to populated around here for them. the bear's should manage themselves in the woodland and rivers for food source. i really don't know how to post a picture on here.

Bear & mountain lions

I live in SC,not far from Myrtle Beach(Florence area). I have a 150 lb black bear and a Carolina Panther(black Panther), that regularly go through my property. I have lived here for 20 years and have never had any problems with either. Biggest problems are snakes!
I had cows, goats, and never any problems.
They are naturally occurring wildlife here, not release animals.
If coyotes are moving eastward, why not Mountain Lions?
By the way,I'll be moving to KY shortly!
Just my thoughts!
Jackie

Up by me in Wisconsin there have been a number of sitings of lions. The DNR also denies transplanting them here, but when people started seeing them it wasn't just one, it was about 4 different ones within a 50-100 mile radius. I'm not really sure what the DNR is thinking by turning these things loose here.
The latest story up here is that a lion went onto a guys porch by a sliding glass door and was watching the guys little son play by the window. If you ask me theres something wrong here and the DNR needs to address it. In our state there just isn't the room that the lions need.

You have that right! I'm so sick of these f'ing wolves. I hunt out where the guy with the bird dogs had the problem (Harrison by Otter Lake) and everytime the dogs head that way I get nervous.

Bears now Mt Lion In KY

I never ever have had a camera ,when I needed one!
The last time I saw "Big Kitty",I was in my truck and it was crossing the road,in broad daylight.
I could have gotten a great picture then!
Oh,well!

if that cat is genuinely black then it is a released exotic pet. melanistic lions are a nice chocolate color. the black cats (leopard, jaguar & jaguarundi) are all native to other areas.
