Guided Bear Hunts???

I want to hear your opinions on guided bear hunts in eastern NC. With Weyerhaeuser being so money hungry, it is almost impossible to keep all of my leases without some kind of help. I've always preached against it but times seem to be a changin.

The lease across from my house is somewere close to 90k per year. Now you get all the deer hunters you can to pay there share which seems to be hard for these clubs these days. After you do that and your still 30k short you have to do something or lose your land that you hav manged all together and no place to turn a dog lose. Now here is were I'm at on it. Your average lead dog is gonna cost you on a average of 3000 bucks. Then you figure the cost of four or five other dogs. Then you figure what it cost to train them and keep them up daily with the food and the vet bills. You figure how much gas you buy to train them how much money you spend buying corn. How much money you spend on equipment. Basically you have a ton of money in a pack of dogs for th oppurtunity to hunt three weeks on a bear that you yourself don't really want to shoot. Me personaly I don't think anybody should have a problem if you bring a shooter to kill tge bear. Like I say you don't care to shoot. Most shooters has no dogs and has put no effort into tge hunt until the hunt. So say you charge them 1500 you spend half that money paying there club dues so it is legal with the clubs lease. You pocket say half 750. When you do tge math what are you making NOTHING but you are helping the situatio out. I can't see why anybody has a problem.

Now as far as still hunting over bait. I hope it is never made legal. Let's keep it about the dogs.

On another note there is a few bear hunters I no that money aint an option but the most I no are pay check to pay check. I don't blame a man for trying to come up with a way to help pay for what he loves to do. This is just how I feel.
