Track mouth

Id like to have some opinions on breeding and peoples experience with the sort of mouth comes from certain dogs and certain lines tend to throw certain types. Does the female tend to throw the type of mouth or is the male more dominant? Or is it a gamble every time you breed a dog. Naturally breeding two bawl mouth the odds are that the pups are nawl and two chop mouth the odds are chop mouth. Im just curious i know theres someone with a lot more experience and knowledge than me on here.

Hey Mike I ended up with that big lanky young dog you had at ada out of rusty and your gyp. He has a big mouth on him and he sure aint scared to use it. He needs alot of hunting but he's getting a little better every time. Otis Simpson 903-449-1547

Thats cross is the main reason iv been thinking about it. She was a super nice female but her track mouth was horrible her tree power made up for it. All ten pups had her same chop mouth on track. The lil female i kept has a pretty good squall/chop. How is the dog doing?

He is pretty much chop or short bawl on track, he will throw a good bawl every once in a while. He came on the tree the other night with two of the best bawls you ever wanted to hear , but last night he chopped all the way track and tree. He still hasn't got it all put together yet , he does alot of back tracking, I'm working on that. He's pretty loose on the tree, but after knocking a couple out to him he seems to be getting better. You sure don't have to have to worry about him hangin around he will get gone and go huntin. He belongs to my oldest son and he likes him alot. We just have to get the back tracking stopped I can't stand that. But one thing about him you don't have any problem hearing him, that sucker is loud.

I HAVE ALWAYS USED BAWL MOUTH MALES FOR BREEDING,AND FROM WHAT I HAVE SEEN,BREEDING CHOP MOUTH FEMALES TO THEM,YOU CAN GET SOME MALE PUPS BAWL AND FEW CHOP,JUST ABOUT ALL OF THE FEMALE PUPS CHOP,BREEDING BAWL MOUTH FEMALES TO THEM,ALL MALES HAVE BEEN BAWL,AND MOST OF THE FEMALES BAWL,FEW THEM BAWL,CHOP MIX.

I hunted with a few granddaughters to henning's chief and smith red rowdy all were wide open chop mouthed dogs. Mike I could be wrong but you have a fair amount of chief in your dogs

Keep in mind.

I notice, we need to also look at the grandparents for traits. Each grandparent can control 25% of the outcome. More if they are a dominant reproducer. Greatgrand parents can even have an influence. I have a female at this time, if I didn't know better I would think she was directly out of her Great Great Grandmother Penny. I hunted Penny alot and knew her well.
