I got a nice female that i'm wanting to possibly breed to this fall..Looking at my options. She's out of Gr NITECH Kyles Brindle Redwood Rock and Herrels Penny...Rock is out of RedWood Okie x Redwood Nikki at Night...Penny is out out of Herrels Indiana Joe Boy X Herels Sue...Thought it might make a nice cross.. I havnt had her in a hunt yet but I think she should make NTCH fairly easy..

I've only hunted with Rider once and let me tell you he is the real deal! Looked good on the final four of the Purina National Championship. He was by himself twice but both times was on a den. Other dogs all around him and he's treeing like there wasn't another dog within 100 miles of him!

Needs to be within 10 hours of central florida. I really can't travel much more than that.. I've heard really good things about Skid from alot of people!!

I wouldn''t let 10 hrs scare me ,Rider is the best thing the plott breed has right now ,he has won at every level, both registrys,thats whats wrong with the plott breed they promote local legends and show dogs,breed to winners at a the higher level and you will improve your breed,just my opinion,thanks for reading
if you wanted to line breed skid might be your best option. but I almost got a pup out of rider the female didn't have enough, I wanted one to breed to skid if the pup was good enough. I would talk to any of the redwood guys first (great guys with the same goals with there hounds)
Coyotejoe if that was comment was geared towards me for offering up other options I will debate over this anyday. His female came from my backyard I know her bloodline and I've seen the result of doing our homework. These are not backyard heroes. The bloodlines of the three dogs I offered up, are thought on, and will stack up well on this female.
We are looking at pedigrees really hard right now MissT is coming in heat soon. Her last litter is off of skid. Those pups are turning out to be good dogs. But oak and nite rider are automatically out. Is there another male dog out there that stacks up better than skid that could produce an even better litter. I don't know. This litter produced coon dogs, but what if the next okie x josie cross is out there right around the corner. Greatest thing about this whole group of guys is no one gets offended they all want to see the plott breed improve, egos are put aside.

coyotejoe I do believe skid can win at any level I don't have the time or the money to travel the country trying to win hunts. I have three kids that play sports all year long . if you would like call me we will go hunting, there is nothing to hide . he is a dog, some nights he looks good and some nights he looks bad, about 95% of the time he looks good
