I was told they supported it the first time they tried to pass it but were hit by the private land owners and deer hunters pretty hard. Just what I heard.

They will back it. As I was told, they have a lot on there agenda and will pursue only things that have a good chance of happening. If other sportsman and hound groups actually show support this time and a willingness to push this, they will most definitely help.

I would think every member of that club that owns a hound would want it backed. I know the people I talked to were very upset they didn't support this myself included. This is a huge problem in our sport we as hound organizations need to support this. And educate the ones that don't understand we just want to get our dogs back. We don't need to harvest the animal.

They are the largest hound group in the state they should set the pace and have more groups back them not the other way around. I think it's BS they only back what they can win. Tired of excuses get some backbone and fight.

Yes they are. How ever they are not going to do it all. We need local hounds groups to set the pace and show that we care enough. Do you belong to any clubs? Have you brought this up at any meetings, if so what are you doing. We have collected signatures at UKC events, we got the CC to put it on the ballot this year and it is discussed at all of our meetings. We need houndsman clubs and organizations to pay more than lip service. If you want the WBHA to help, maybe help them and sign up all your club members. I have been in contact with the WBHA and they will help if they see the rest of us are serious. They cannot be expected to do it all. Are you a member? I pay dues to at least 4 hound organizations.

Yes I am a member. And so is my local club. We actually have a lot of bear events. And have held their summer meeting on bear trial day. We also give a sizeable donation. This was brought up by another club member as to why we are doing donations to other clubs that don't stick up for our rights like we think they should. Also another club member had his coonhound shot a couple years back contacted the bear hunters and didn't receive much help. Not trying to bash WBHA but I thought that's one reason we pay our dues.

Good, now call a board member and tell them how you and your club feels. Get a bunch of signatures on a petition at events through out the summer and give them to your area board member. Keep on talkin about it at meetings, etc. Make sure the organizations you support are actually doing something.
