Lost a Good One Today

Today I had to put down my old female, GRNITE GRCH PR Doc's Plott Becky II better known as Sis. About a month ago in a a freak hunting accident Sis fell into a 30 foot hole, With the help of good friends Dan Minten and Chris Strauss we were able to get her out. In the fall it looked like she had broken her front leg. We rushed her to the vet and x-rays showed nothing broken but the muscles had all been torn loose from her shoulder blade. After a month she still was not getting around on three legs. The vet felt that she had some injury to her spine and didn't have full control of her other leg. I made the difficult decision today to put her down. She was a great hound, and competitor. Some of her accomplishments were:

2008 & 2010 Tri-State Coonhound Championship Nite Hunt dog of the year
2010 AKC State and Breed winner
Qualified multiple times for the UKC & AKC World Hunt
Multiple cast winner at Plott Days
Won casts in Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio.
#3 On the Top producers List

She will be missed but I have a Nite Ch daughter out of her with 2 wins towards Grand and a year old pup out of her.

Rest in Peace Sis

The Plott breed needs these good females like her, sorry you had to do that . The bright side is you still have a good replacement for her.
