Track Speed

Which bloodline produces the fastest track dogs that tree? Thinking about breeding my female in the future.

Dean and Bill Boester are producing dogs with above average track speed and the capability to run a cold track.

I know of several dogs out of Mr.Earl Wright's line that are fast enough to catch them on the ground if it's a hot track and the coon doesn't climb quick. My male from him is like that and the mama to my male is the same way. They have the sense though to work a track out if it's not smoking hot. I have a McDill female that can near about hang with the male, but she's not quite as fast, she does have a much colder nose than the male though.

I think the dogs that are bred more towards the "running to catch" mentality will give you faster track, but at the same time I'm sure that you can find a few fast ones in most any line.
