Everyone please keep the date open for the West Virginia State Hunt. Josh Ware and Cory Rucker have been working very hard on this hunt for a few weeks now. What they have done is very impressive. It should be one of the nicest State Hunts since the late 90s. Great Job Josh and Cody. CANT WAIT FOR THE HUNT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have raised about $1000 cash to give away to the winners along with many other smaller prizes like leads, collars, dog bowls, dog treats, dog food, etc. We hope to have even more prizes by the hunt. I will post all the details a few weeks prior to the hunt. This will be double points and an NHBA Sectional both days.

Hope this helps; straight out of the UKC HB 2014 Rulebook:

4. PENDING: Dogs may be entered as “pending”
only if the Beagle is single registered the day of the
event in which they wish to enter, or if single registration
application has been sent to United Kennel
Club within 45 days prior to the date of the event
they wish to enter. Once permanent registration
papers are received by registrant, that dog can no
longer be entered as pending.
5. NON-REGISTERED DOG: Dogs may be entered
as a “Non-Registered Dog” with a fee of $3, in addition
to the entry fee. Clubs must note fees taken on
their Event Fee Worksheet and include with all other
event fees to UKC. If the dog entered places in the
event the owner is given 60 days to single register
the dog with the UKC. They must attach a copy of
the win receipt(s) along with the single registration
application and mail it to UKC. Any Championship
points earned expire if the dog is not registered within
60 days after the event.
However, the owner may request the expired
points be reinstated after the dog has been registered
by submitting a copy of the win receipt(s)
along with a fee of $50 to UKC Field Operations.

Josh and I went and talked to the guy that is making the Over all West Virginia State Hunt Plaque and the Over all West Virginia State Show Plaque. These Plaques are one of a kind hand carved from hard wood right here in West Virginia!!!!!!!!!!! DONT MISS OUT ON THE CHANCE TO WIN THESE FIRST EVER HAND CARVED PLAQUES!!!!!!!

When is this hunt? I don't see it listed on the upcoming events. Derek stated above that it is the 14th and 15th of March, but like I said I don't see it. I really look forward to attending.

I will work with UKC on the listing once we have a confirmed location. Currently, there are a couple meetings to be held yet so we know exactly where we are going to be. With the amount of interest and beaglers contacting us we are most certainly hoping we confirm the Taylor County Fairgrounds. Trust me the club guys are putting lot of work into this event, bare with us a few more days while we finalize. UKC will be contacted as soon as I get the confirmation and it will be posted on this Message Board.
