There was a great turnout today with several new faces! I enjoyed meeting new people and catching up with old friends. The hunt ran very smooth big thanks to Bible Grove Beagle Club for putting on a fantastic hunt! A great big thank you to all the judges! There where plenty of rabbits in each cast and the running grounds are some of the best in the country! Can't wait for the next one

Thanks to everyone who came to the trial. Like BJ said it was great to see all the new faces and the interest in performance pack. Thanks to all who judged, it was no easy task with the great weather and all the rabbits and the good running the dogs put on. Congrats to all the winners.

All the rabbits lol , my cast didn't see that many, it was a good hunt but wouldn't say a ton of rabbits were we went

The grand class had 10 different rabbits seen besides the one they where running. The champ cast I judged had 3 different ones besides the one they where running. I heard from several casts that there where several rabbits seen in those casts. If that many rabbits where seen how many weren't? I did judge a cast in the first round that only had one one rabbit. Both the cast and myself saw that rabbit several times, but the dogs did struggle to run that rabbit. I don't think anyone would disagree with that. All you need is one rabbit to run to get score, it's up to the dogs to keep that rabbit running. Me personally I would like to get one rabbit up and keep that one going the majority of the cast so you have the best chance of getting score on running a rabbit and can eliminate silly situations like a non produce or something of that nature. Every cast had a rabbit and that's all a guy/gal can ask for.

I was there for that registered cast and he champ cast , when one rabbit goes to trash pile and takes time to get another goin it was pretty sad trackin. I wasn't complaining, I'm still tryin to figure out how we moved off that rabbit with 7-8 min left and dog started barkin and never got put on clock for non produce, I'm new to the PP hunts

When someone is calling at the dogs to move a certain way and a dog barks you can not put that dog on the clock period. You have influenced dog/dogs to move a certain way after some time is passed you can re open strikes which there was not enough time elaps from when the pack was being called a certain way and dogs are hunting on there own you re open striks. The dogs where given around 10 minutes to work that track out they could not and it was agreed by everyone to move. These are questions that should be brought up in the field and settled right then and right there. Not brought up on the message board. If you have any further questions pm me.
