One of the few living sons of Dark Hollow Victor has passed away.

Nite Ch. Gr. Ch. "PR" WW Midnight Rambler, "Jagger" is hugely loved and sorely missed.



Jag is the hound who taught us what a coonhound is and what a hound does....I brought him home as a companion (I love big black lapdogs!) but we got into the hunts because of him being a REAL coondog and now have a few of his beautiful babies, his legacy.

In his memory, I hope others will share a memory or story of the first hound they had that got them into hunting, showing or just living with coonhounds!


Jagger encourages his year old pup JJ

Jagger was diagnosed with congestive heart failure several months ago. Thanks to modern medicine, he spent his last few months comfortably retired (he did get to go out on a few short nights in the woods which he LOVED and LIVED for!) and still held his tail up high even to go out and relieve himself.

But the heart finally just stopped and he passed quietly at home, (Thad and the guys had taken some hounds out last night) dreaming about tracking I am sure!

Huge thanks to Thad Ray for letting us bring this wonderful animal into our lives and for all the travel and work to let him earn his titles! It was an honor to know and share in the life of this magnificent hound.

We're sorry to hear of your sad loss. You gave him such a GREAT LIFE! It was a pleasure to read about him from time to time on here! May your future be bright with his offspring and may you always feel his presence in your heart!

And yes...we're having fun with the young dogs and the grandpups! I have a grand daughter of Jagger's that I gotta get busy and get on the bench too! She's so much eye candy! Waahhh...need more days in the week and hours in the day! : )
