Picture-Wld. Ch. Sandy

Would anybody have a picture that they could post of the Old "Sandy" female that won the world hunt. She was the mother of Wilcox Thunder Bingo (I think). I'm also pretty sure she was out of Beshere's Blue Boy II (JUNIOR).

I have a 6 month old pup here that I raised that is a grand pup to Adkins Night Thunder. I believe this pup looks a lot like the Old Sandy female.

I had the opportunity years ago to pat that ole girl on the head when I was at an English Days event, and I was just wanting to refresh my memory of her and see just how much my pup resembles her.

Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Anyone remember when Sandy was bred to Whittles Sandman and just before she was to have pups she was "stolen"? Then she was found later at a chicken fight in the same town of the brother to the owner of course after the pups were all weaned and gone somewhere.

Roland Dickey told me setting on his living room sofa in 1992 that Sandy wasn't that good of a dog in thin coon where he hunted but when Hank took her to northern Indiana where coons were thick she did a lot better. He said Murder Creek Blue was the best track dog he was ever in the woods with.

I hunted with Joe one night in a flooded river bottom. He took a track and left our dog and she was a decent hound. Kenneth Thrasher told me he handled Joe in the Winter Classic one year won his cast and would have been high scoring GRNt but their judge added the time wrong and master of hounds threw the cast out.

Thunder Kennels

That photo of Hank and Sandy sure flooded back memories to me....Hank was a dear friend we hunted together many, many nights....When Hank came down with the cancer and could no longer hunt he showed up in my yard with Sandy and Timber Star Buck. He simply said here their yours now and I will know they will be hunted and taken care of....Sandy was buried in my yard and Buck was buried in my step sons back yard..I just got a direct pup from Freddy Wells Gr Nt female who he bred back to old Bingo semon...Little Ms Bingo in now in my yard..When Sandy was bred to my JR it was the 4th generation and the jumping point to Thunder Kennels....Thanks for the photo and the Memories Larry

I have that same picture of Hank and Sandy from a newspaper article. As a boy I couldn't wait till that Saturday if Sandy was still in it, we were heading to Van Wert (I think) and Hank's dad had a heartattck. We stayed back in West Virginia. I will never forget walking into a hotel room at the Grand American and seeing JR and Sandy in the room with Larry and Hank. Everyone went to sleep I just starred at that those 2 dogs. It was a memory I will always have!!!
