Looking for some info

Many years ago I had really good echo bred bluetick out of Oklahoma. I ended up selling him to a great hunting home due to life and not being able to hunt.

I'm getting back into it and things change over the years so I'm looking for a little info as I begin my research.

What did you look for in a good bluetick? Looks? Ability? And what lines typically produce those traits?

Thank you in advance.

What is it about them that you like most?

My old boy was a big long legged boy, wasnt real fast on track but moved at a good clip. Medium nose with a HUGE mouth. Very smart dog... not necessarily trying to find his clone just saying that's what he was.
