Anyone ever work a stock dog x

I have some old hunting books that my grandfather Left me from the late 1800 to the early 1900 that had a lot of good accounts of hounds that had some stock blood in them. I was just wounding if anyone still use them

Stock

I have seen some hounds, that had heavy hair, like they had some farm shepard in them. My grand dad, bought me an old farm shepard, he looked like an english shepard, he would tree anything that climbed, and he would stay all night, into the next day, till you went to him.
