I like 4 health from TSC, dogs go 2xs a day on there normal foods and once a day on the Strive. They have a lamb and rice, I like the chicken and rice. Hard hunting dogs I like the Strive, but its new only have used it about 3 months on one dog.

Then do NOT feed purina hi pro, tried it as it’s ingredients and protein/fat levels looked like what I fed and liked in the late 90’s early 00’s. Was absolutely terrible. Didn’t even make it thru an entire bag, back to pro plan immediately. I’ve fed victor in the past with good results but purple bag pro plan or purina one has worked well.

Eukanuba 30/20 . It’s cost a bit more then some and less then others, buts it’s by far the best bang for the buck I’ve found.

You would need to specify a price range to get a real good answer. I have several hounds in an indoor kennel on concrete. After experimenting with several dog foods in the 50 cent per pound or less range I finally landed on Purina Dog Chow because of price, tractor supply neighbors club and Purina pro club rebates, and it doing as good or better than everything else I tried. It keeps the dogs up weight wise feeding two to three cups a day with minimal clean up. When it gets cold or if I was hunting hard instead of adding extra feed I mix in Pride 26 18 or 31 22 and keep the feed at the two to three cups per day range. If it wasn’t for the discounts I get on Purina I would be feeding the Pride. I’ve tried other feed in the past and always went back to the Pride but unless something changes with the dog chow deals I will stick with it and just mix in some Pride when I need to or move the harder to keep dogs outside when I need to over feed them and let the just poop more since I wouldn’t have to clean up after them.

15.79 or less for Dog Chow is hard to beat. Lol.

I think he is wanting to know more about stool output, not comparing price to performance.

Black gold, - high stool count

Purina Hi pro - high stool count ( dnt no if they make it anymore)

Kent - High stool count

Diamond- Med stool count

Purina dog chow - Couldn't tell you the coon wouldn't even eat it LOL

Victor- Low stool count

4-Health Low stool count

I clean kennels at least 2 times a day on Victor and 4 health they go about 2 times some only once a day.

Was feeding diamond high energy and stools were always loose and a lot of it per day. Switched to Victor and usually get one stool a day and is pretty much always solid. Kennels are 10 times cleaner. Not cheap though

Good Friends Hi-Energy 30/20 from Rural King. 40lb. bag for $22. Dog looks great on it, easy clean up and certainly has enough energy.

Diamond high energy used to be good feed until they changed the formula a few years ago and went with wheat instead of corn in the first few ingredients. Used to be you could have knocked the turds out of the kennel with a gold club. Lol.

This is made by Nutrina and it the exact same feed as River Run 30/20. I mixed it with Valu Pak some one winter when I was trying to feed Valu Pak. Valu Pak wouldn’t keep my dogs weight up in the winter and the stool and mess was terrible with just straight valu pak. I quit feeding valu pak and switched back to the Pride but didn’t see anything wrong with the good friends 30/20 other than super high protein which concerned me feeding it to some of my non hunter dogs.

Purina Pro Plan Sport 30/20

Purina Pro Plan Sport 30/20 for me. Yes its high but I feel like its the best feed I can offer and my dogs look good on it with minimal waste. I feed Diamond high energy to pups running loose and they stay looking good BUT HIGH waste piles. It's a good feed for the price but it's not if you're having to clean up after them.

I fed Pro plan 30/20 for years and it had seemed like the quality went down hill. A lot of the local guys around me switched to the Pride pro series lime green or orange bag, I gave it a try and I have been really pleased with it. It’s good feed with minimal cleanup and my dogs look great. It is about half the price of the pro plan also.

The Pride

I feed The Pride 27/20 to all my hounds. I feed 4-5 Cups to each one and they stay fat.
I buy the 27/20 pro Series for around $23
The 31/22 pro series is a good feed but it’s $28-30 here.
I couldn’t tell much difference in the two. So I just stick with the $23 dollar bag.
I’ve fed the 21/17 pro series and it’s about the same around $22 dollars.
With it I seem to have to feed a extra cup compared to the 27/20.
That’s why I feed The Pride 27/20.
Best feed for the money I can get here JMO

Purina one

I like Purina One ,,, Chicken and rice formula... it appears to be low stool waste .. When the hounds empty out the stool does stink ... I wished Purina would make it in a 50# pound bag instead of a 40 # pound like it comes in ... Hounds do look good off it and preform good off it here in the mountains when hunted ... That’s my 2 cents on Dog feed .. Happy Holidays...

In the hot months I feed Valu Pak blue bag and during the cold months it’s Valu Pak black bag…

If we over feed the dogs they will poop the higher dollar feed almost as bad as some of the cheaper dog foods…

I bought a 45 lb. bag of Salmon & potatoes (4 Health) dog food for a female I plan on breeding…I’ve never seen flies land on dog food but there were flies attracted to the dog food…I take that as a positive…Salmon is listed first on the list…

Dog Food

Tried about Every Food mentioned on here......always go back to Purina Dog Chow, and not because it's Cheaper than all the rest, or that it's Easier to get than all the rest,....It's because my Hounds do Great on it & look Great with very little clean up.
I liked feeding the Victor Professional the Best but it got hard to get.
