Rosey
An old friend of mine, probably 20 years ago, had purchased this red bone female, he said guys would hear her tree, and they would park their trucks, and walk in to her tree, just to see what was treeing so loud and hard. His name was Carl Hanselman, and he's hunted black&tans for as long as i've known him maybe 60 years. At that time he had a black dog, he had advertised him at stud, his name was Hanselman's Ragin Ricky, he later sold him to Tam Young, Tam, changed his name, to Tennasee Ranger. At that time Carl bred, Ricky to the red female, he later sold her to a fellow in canada. When she had her pups, a friend and my nephew, went up there coon hunting, they brought back two females, they were 4 weeks old. They gave them to Morris Ellis, he raised them up, and started them, he said they'd get in a fight over the tree, so he went in there, and corrected them. He held their heads under water, till they quit fighting, he sold one to a guy in Tennasee. We use to hunt together, Rosey was the one he kept, her only fault, was she didn't hunt very deep, but she'd cold trail a coon up, and have him, treed hard too. Morris, invented, the Raw Dawg lights, later selling them to the Pro Shop. Right now, Carl, has the covid, i hope he gets better.
