Bear thats what we have the most of and they are the biggest game we have here in va. We do have bobcats and we have treed a few while hunting bear. I wish we had mountain lions I want to hunt them some day it looks like something I would enjoy from all the pic and stories I have read.

I'd have to say bear.

I enjoy hearing a bigger pack run. The more noise , the better ! LOL

I love to hunt all 3! If I had to choose just one..... I would pick lions. I have the most fun catching them and can hunt them year round. That's a question that makes a guy really think.

I love a good bear race as much as anyone, but would have to say bobcat. Never ran lion so who knows. Pete you ever make it over here or passing through Minnesota stop by, we have a pretty good population of cats. Can usually get on a cat within 5 miles of the house.

Ooohh tough one... I love bobcats but there is nothing like seeing a big tom lion spitting and snarling at you from the tree.. Course bobcat are harder to run but I think lions are more exciting... I know for Nick.. Hands down lions.. He hates running bobcats.. He thinks they are way to boring...

Bear hands down... I wish we didn't run anything but bear... But we can only run them 3 months a year.

Nothing like the sound of a full blown race, and seeing him panting when you get there.

Bear

I would have to say bear mainly because I haven't had the opportunity to hunt lions yet and the times I've tried hunting bobcats we usually went on a wild goose chase.

Bobcat

I have found that treeing bobcat consistently requires the Most balanced of hounds. Just Speed or Grit or Nose or Brains alone is not enough. To be a Master bobcat hound requires all of these and a few more Like Endurance,Desire, and Athletic ability.
Like everyone I want all of these things in a hound that I run any type of game with. I have just found it more necessary when running bobcat. The top bobcat hound is often hunted alone without having a pack to help.

I love lion hunting, cause I love being able to see with my eyes how my dogs run a track.my wife brings up a good point about bear hunting and it is nicer weather and the kids can get into the trees. So I don't know.Bobs are so hard to catch consistantly. If I had to just choose one I'd move LOL

to choose only 1 , well i love all 3 , and had the dog power to do all 3 consistently , however, bear races generaly sent me to the vet , cougar races took all day and even then you were lucky to get one in a bush , bobcat ,now that is an animal that will make you scratch yer head and catch a few good laughs at your dogs when they make a lose and you seen it occur. bob's would be my choice overall if i had to pick just one and only one... good poll jess.... happy hunting all

There is few thing nicer than a full blow strike on a crisp May morning as the sun is just showing it's self. But alas, To train and maintain a solid pack of bear dogs takes it's toll on a mans life. I still like to throw in with some other guy whose truck is beat to hell and hasn't heard a kind word from his fourth wife in ten years. Cougars are fun and plentyful where I live but are not all that challenging. Bobcat are funner en hell if you got a bobcat dog. If not you just keep looking for one again so you hope to one day pay them back for all tose times they made your dogs look like the snuck into the retard sandwiches. If I could however I would only chase leopard. You don't have to have a bunch of great dogs but there is some risk and contitions can make it very challenging.
