Outcrosses.

Big gamers. Some of you have bred the same line of hound for years.Lots of linebreeding i'am sure.Name your breed, bloodline, and what you think is the best outcross for your line of hound. No speculation, crosses that have been made with the results that you were looking for.We won't talk about the bad.We want a positive post.Let's hear it guys and gals.

If ya do your linebreeding right ya don't ever have to make an outcross.LOL As my signature says we line breed on Southern Sound first, with Hillbilly Mac and a shot of Stylish Coma.Works for us.Linebreeding can be just as tricky as outcrossing.I've had crosses that I waited three years to make that on paper should have been "My perfect dog" and had nothing but a bunch of mediocre dogs.We did make a cross on a Heavy,Heavy River Bend Flag female. Not sure you can call that an outcross because the Southern Sound dogs all had a bit of Flag.Anyway, only one bitch survived and she is proving to be a phenom of a reproducer. The guys I deal with in Wisconsin bought her whole last litter. And our new stud dog is a pup out of her.

The reason I hunt this bloodlines is a quote an old friend gave me,"Your either making dust or your eating it."
