The guy that took the photo's apparently is not a native Inuit. I don't believe he would just stand there taking pictures and hoping for the best why that bear is playing with his only source of transportation. I think something is fishy about them pictures. Course I've been wrong before. OK I've been wrong a lot.

My first impression was that the bear and dog must have been raised together they are usually bitter enemies...but I have watched enuff National Geographics shows to know that when Polar Bears are migrating they get pretty used to being around people and towns and can become a nuisance. It's obvious that the photo's were taken with a telephoto lens so the photographer wasn't that close...I think the narater said the photographer was German.
