Will it straighten out?

My son can home from Plott days with a 15 wk old Walker gyp. When he got her off the truck I saw that her right front leg had a pretty good bow in it and she was kinda walking on the side of her foot and also walking with a limp because of it. Now I've seen this before in younger puppies and I've always given them Pet Tabs which my Vet. recommended giving them and they ended up straightening out just fine. I've already started giving them to her but it usually takes a few weeks. Do you Guys think hers will straighten out? Her left leg looks good. Any other recommendations or should I load her up and haul her to the vet?

I second that. Must have been short days up in Maine too. Just Kidding.. She is a bigger pup than when it first shows up so I would go up to a tablespoon or two a day.
It is unusual for a deficiency to affect only one leg though , and look at the toes. On second thought; well skip that thought because there probably isn't much a vet can do short of orthoscopics short of thousands of dollars.

Yea,
When I've seen it, it's been in both legs, one maybe more than the other. Her left leg may have a little in it but it just doesn't stick out like the right.
I'll start giving her Cod Liver oil this afternoon and see what that does.

Well my son said that the guy had papers on the sire and dam or maybe it was the grand sire and grand dam. Anyway they are supposed to have Finely River and Nance in the papers but I wasn't there and didn't get to look at them. Do you know anymore than that?
Got home from work with the Cod Liver oil and she's looks bad in both legs today If she gets any worse I'm taking her to the vet. I know the Cod Liver oil won't work overnite but man she can hardly walk today.

I have some part Nance/Whitecloud/Spring Creek Rock bred Walkers that I've been raising for the last 10 yrs. My grandpaw used to have some Finely River hounds when I was a kid (35 yrs ago)that could cold trail, jump, catch and tree a bear that walked the day before. Other than that I don't have much of an idea about todays Finely River breeding and don't know a whole lot about the Bam Bam hounds. I really like the way this pups acts and she really goes after an old bear paw I got out of the freezer and drug around for her.

I wouldn't have believed it either. When my son first showed her to me only the right front was slightly bowed and as you can see from the pictures what she looked like 3 days later. I wouldn't have believed she could get that bad that quick and and then straighten up that fast. She's running and jumping and acting like a pup should act. I like the way she looks and acts and she's always got her nose on the ground.

Thanks everyone for all the advice.

Yea, I contacted the seller to see if this was a trait of his breeding and he said that none of the littermates to this pup had anything like this. He also said that he didn't notice anything wrong with this pup when she was sold to my son. As quick as she went from one extreme to the other and back I believe him.
