Ouch!

Ever been shining a tree and a branch falls out and hits you? I was hunting a few nights ago and shining a tree that two of my redbone pups treed on and that happened to me....hit me on the shoulder....still stings!

I have backed off a 10 ft bank trying to get a better shot picture. Good thing there was still a little mud in the ditch. lol

BACK IN PROABLY THE 70ths we treed a coon up a pine tree, neighbor decided he was gonna shake it out to the young dogs. he went up the tree and I was after a young dog under the tree, before I got back he shook that tree and that coon came out square on my head then to the ground,talk about a jolt, like getting hit with a 10 pound bag of flour on your head, sure did stun me for a while, lucky I had a hard hat as well as a hard head--LOL

I am not sure if a bird flew away and knocked it down or if the coon moved and knocked it down or what...but it knocked me to my knees. It probably weighed close to 30 lbs but it was a glancing blow. I am just glad it didn't hit one of my young dogs...it could really have done both physical....and psychological damage to them....so even though I have a bruise the size of a grapefruit....I feel lucky that it wasn't worse.

u would of been better off hit in the head lol a few yrs ago i was sittin under a tree durin kill season and my bro and cuzzin were standin bout 5 ft from me sayin i was lazy when all of a sudden a branch fell and i boogies out of there on all 4 as fast as i could that prolly would of killed me lol landed right where i was sittin being "lazy" lol
