Where you at? That would narrow it down some. All Plotts are bred to tree. They are tree dogs. Now just because they are bred to tree doesn't mean every single pup in the litter is going to be a hard tree dog. Also knowing what type of game you will be hunting will help. You primarily a coon, cat, or bear hunter?

Paul I am in North Carolina. I don't know if I can agree with you that all Plotts are bred to tree, seems like they have suffered the curse of popularity to a great extent. I coon hunted with some nice Plotts back in the seventies, from what I can find out that aint the case anymore. I have a couple of OMCBA dogs that could pass for Plotts if they had a tail, but they are still curdogs. I'm not looking for some mixed up bear or hog dog, I want a straight up tree dog out of tree dogs.

fycedogs if you want a straight up stand on the tree plott pup you need to call Paul Rollins he has a litter of pups out of GrChGrNtCh'Pr'North Ga Plott Rowdy. I owned him as a pup he started early around six months old he was treeing by nine months split treeing with coons. Pauls #1-678-988-4538. If you dont like that litter call Randy Switzer 1-217-822-7948 may have some pups from NtChGrCh'Pr'North Ga Plott Big Eddie also a nice tree dog but this is his last litter got killed by a car sat night. Aaron Moorehead has a female breed to his GrNtChGrCh'Pr'North Ga Plott Blade will have pups soon his#1-678-848-4252. I also have a female breed to my dog GrChGrNtCh'Pr'North Ga Plott Stormy he placed 8 in the World Hunt 2012 and was the 2012 Purina Plott Bred Winner my #1-270-256-2205. All male dogs listed above were sired by NtChGrCh'Pr'North Ga Plott Razor owned by Eddie Anderson

Those N GA Plotts are bred to be coon dogs and tree dogs. You won't go wrong with the guys Jeff listed.
