The boys and I made a couple of drops last nite!

Well last night was the first night out since Randall left and I've got rested up now and I'm sure the boys were ready to go. So we loaded up and headed out, we made three drops the first two we never got a bark but I did see both dogs go right behind a herd of Deer and neither one wanted to run them so thats a plus.
So I loaded them up and headed to another spot and I pulled up and turned them out after about 10 minutes Rock struck a cold track and he worked it down the creek for about 10 minutes. Then Preacher started opening up here and there with Rock and after a little while they got to moving it fairly well so I moved the truck further down the road to keep up with them. After about a 1/2 mile they were getting close to an old Cottonwood tree where I buried my old Cowboy dog he was very special to me. Anyway years ago I tried an English female one night and she hadn't looked real good but she treed a coon on this same tree and it seemed like a sign to me so I bought her and she made one fine hound. And as weird as it might sound, it was the same kind of deal the track went the same way and treed on the same ole Tree right over Cowboy the only difference now is the tree is starting to fall apart some the limps are breaking off and the coon are still using it. So maybe its a sign I know I was tickled with how this drop went and the Coon is still there for another time.

We got him Boss!

Trust me we can smell him he went right up this way!

SSSHHHHHH I'm hiding!!! Get those loud dogs outta hear I'm getting a headache!!!

John...

That's pretty cool...looks almost like 2 coon in that hole. Thanks for the great pictures of those fine looking dogs.

Michael, now that you said that I see where that does look like a second coon in the hole. I missed it till you said it and thanks for the complaiments on the dogs. Its a huge tree and thats just one of the big limps coming off the main trunk of the tree.

Hunt

Sure liking the way that Preacher's looking. I see a star in the making. And of course Rock is no slouch either. Zach took a close look at that coon and thought he saw a slick tail in there.

Jim, be nice lol and tell Zach he's seeing things and just because he see's those slick tails in some of the trees he goes to doesn't mean they are in every tree lol
I can't wait to make another trip up your way and bring both of these dogs and see how they do up there!
