Lynx pictures

Just got back from BC Canada on a Lynx hunt. I was able to take my dogs and see 4 cats in trees. Had a great time, thought I would share a couple of pictures. Nick

How are the lynx compared to running bobcats? Are they as aggressive or laid back more like a lion?

Just wondering how lynx differ from bobcats in how they run and tree.

Thanks for all the comments.
That was my second trip up north so I am no expert. From what I saw the lynx and bobcat are very similar to run, long races, lots of loops and circle, they try hard to outsmart the dogs. Once they tree they stay treed. My GPS showed 6 to 9 miles on the dogs unit for every race they ran.

Fred, welcome back! The blue pup is Cammy ( my old fat grandma),
Daisy is the B&T next to her, from Cammy's first litter and the B&T colored dog in the background of the first picture is Jane, a pup out of Daisy.

The Lion in the video jumped from the tree it was in to a leaning tree next to it, then about 20' to the ground. That's the farthest I have ever seen a lion jump. Most lions slowly work their way down the tree until they are within a few feet of the dogs then leap right over their heads. This gets the dogs insane. They go from a good chop on tree to a screaming uncontrolled bark you need to hear to appreciate. Daisy and Jane treed a lion last Saturday just 10' off the ground, when the lion jumped out of the tree my friend Kieth swore the cat grazed the dogs on the way out! (sorry no video)

My three youngest sons Stephen, Noah and Caleb also came out with me last Saturday and Keith got a picture of us with the lion in the background just before it jumped. I finally got to get in a picture!
