Just wana say about plotts

I for one haven't been hunting long like you old timers ,been doing a while but not 20+ years . I've ran with alotta and I mean a lot of people. And my neighbor has showed me in the past 4 years what a coon dog is I mean a coon dog a true one. A lot of people have dogs that will tree a coon but in the past 4 years of hunting I can personally say outta hundreds of dogs and some comp hunting , it would be hard to beat my neighbors bill hicks bred plotts. Just wanted to share , everyone thinks plotts are hot nosed and they are alligators but theses dogs are the most mellow and houndy looking hounds I've been around and very cold nosed . Just wanted to say I've changed my mind about plotts and will be getting some for bear and coon soon . + bill hicks is a good guy to deal with .

What are some of the dogs in Bill's line? (How are they bred?)

Thanks...

I don't know much about Plotts but heard all the negative stuff until I bought my own 4 1/2 years ago. She Pocahontas & when I first started hunting her in Nite hunts most guys didn't feel she was any threat. Now she's a NtCh & one win towards Grand. Now when I show up at a hunt I hear guys say, watch out for that Plott, she's cold nosed fast on track & gets in there alone with the coon. I've had lots of guys say she don't hunt like a Plott. I just smile & say "I don't know, she's my first Plott but I have another one at home younger & out of a different line that hunts just like her"
Lookout when I start hunting him in the Nite hunts.
And neither of mine are ill towards other dog or humans PERIOD. BUT coon that's another story.
